- News Community note on Claude Code: Linus Torvalds published a Linux kernel branch (reading the page cache without folio references) and wrote that the code, test programs and first draft of the cover letter were done with Claude Code under his direction. source
- Complaint Community note on ChatGPT (Codex): Confirmed from openai/codex source (Feature::DaemonAutoStart, default_enabled=true, stage Stable in codex-rs/features/src/lib.rs) and open issue openai/codex#48195: since CLI 0.157.0 an interactive `codex` session auto-starts a persistent `codex app-server --managed-daemon` that outlives the session (reparented to PID 1), copies ~374 MB into ~/.codex/packages/app-server-daemon/, and runs a detached hourly updater. Opt out with `codex features disable daemon_auto_start` then `codex app-server daemon stop`. Issue still open (asks for opt-in default). Agents are listed, not tested — we did not run the CLI for this note. source
