Why Qdrant MCP is the candidate
Qdrant MCP passed every step in ChatGPT (Codex). It is the group’s site-wide candidate (judged 2026-10-20): Stored a fresh code and searched it back from a local Qdrant folder (no Qdrant server or account) in both Claude Code and Cursor, in 4 calls in total. MCP SQLite also passed both, with 9 calls. The archived reference SQLite server and Chroma MCP failed to start in both clients on Oct 15 (their published uvx commands crash on current dependencies). MongoDB and MCP Toolbox need a running database server and aren't tested. Confirmed Oct 20, 2026: a second run in Claude Code and Cursor passed again (mcp-server-qdrant 0.8.1), and it also passed in ChatGPT (Codex) on Oct 20.
Provisional: based on one dated run per app (no repeat runs yet), so treat it as a candidate, not a final pick. How we test.
