Why MCPVault is the candidate
MCPVault passed every step in Claude Desktop. It is the group’s site-wide candidate (judged 2026-10-20): Found the note 'toolpassed fixture' in a local Obsidian-style vault and read back its first line in both Claude Code and Cursor, in 3 calls in total. TurboVault also passed both (5 calls), and Obsidian MCP (StevenStavrakis) passed both (6 calls) but needs Node 22+. Account-based tools (Notion, Atlassian, Slack, Linear) and the Obsidian Local REST API server aren't tested, so this pick covers local Obsidian vaults only. Confirmed Oct 20, 2026: a second run in Claude Code and Cursor passed again (MCPVault 0.16.0).
