The “Tested by ToolPassed” badge
Some makers show this badge on their README or website. It is the same small badge for every tool and carries no score or verdict.
What it means
- We installed and ran the tool ourselves, in real apps, on a real task.
- The badge always links to that tool’s ToolPassed page, which shows the actual result: what passed, what failed, the date and the app versions.
- The badge itself never says “passed” or “failed”. Click through to see the real result.
- Badges are free, never sold, and don’t change any result. We only offer them for tools we have tested.
How to get it
We email the badge code to the makers of tools we’ve tested. Made one of them and haven’t heard from us? Email passed@toolpassed.com with your tool’s name and your role, using the subject “Badge request: <tool name>”.
Badges are only for tools we’ve tested. If yours isn’t tested yet, your request joins our free testing queue (we can’t promise a timeline). Want it sooner? Use the $99 priority review.
